PRINTING METHODS

DIGITAL PRINTING

Digital printing takes a digital image and transfers it to paper, creating a smooth image, without impressions or high/pressed text. No special plate (unlike letterpress or foil press) is required, so it is the most accessible printing method. Suitable for our 300 gsm card stock.

LETTERPRESS PRINTING

LETTERPRESS PRINTING

Letterpress involves pressing the text into the paper using our antique printing machine, Heidelberg Windmill. The printing is done using special plates that press the design, leaving a deep, tactile impression, while applying 1 ink color at a time. This method requires each invitation to be printed individually. We can print any Pantone colour, except for white.

Suitable for handmade paper and 600gsm thick card-stock.

foil press printing

FOIL PRESS PRINTING

Foil printing involves pressing the text/design into the paper together with a metal sheet (white, gold, silver, copper, etc.). Applying the foil is done manually using a specially created plate with your text. This method requires each invitation to be printed individually, the price being influenced by the quantity.

Suitable for all types of paper.

BLIND EMBOSS PRINTING

Blind embossing is a method of creating raised logos or characters on paper without ink. In this process, two metal plates are used; one with raised logo or characters and another with a matching but recessed logo or characters. When a sheet of paper is pressed between these plates, blind embossing occurs.

Suitable for all types of paper.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Design specifications

Our semi-custom models were created in the distinctive and unique style of Papira. The design cannot be changed, but the text/content can be customized for you and your special day.

Digital Proof

Please make sure that you carefully check the received digital proofs including the content/spelling, layout, card/envelope sizes, ink colors, etc.

2 revisions are included with your order. We are available to make the necessary adjustments and answer any questions during the revision phase. Additional digital proofs will be charged 85 EUR/ proof.

We cannot make any further modifications once we have the approval of the final digital proof and the order is sent into production.

Colors

We strive to represent the colors displayed on our website/digital layouts as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that the printed color will seem exactly like on the screen. If you are concerned about choosing your color, it is recommended that you purchase a sample package.

Please take into consideration the possibility of slight color differences from the digital proof to the physical/printed product. All screens are calibrated differently. We do our best to ensure that our colors match the printed result/physical product, but we can’t see what you see on your screen.

Variations

Our handmade paper is handcrafted, individually, so there may be variations in color, thickness, and shape, from one piece to the other.

Letterpress and Foil Press printing methods create slight variations from one piece printed to another. Any irregularities are not defective, but the result of the artisanal process of working with an ancient printing press machine. We strive to represent the colors displayed on our website as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that the printed color will look exactly like the one on the screen.
